Julie Catalano has won the title "Official Small Business of NASCAR courtesy of Office Depot."
Catalano, who is the first female business owner to win the promotion--now in its fourth year --owns Mystique Salon & Spa in Boise, Idaho.
The official announcement was made today at the Kansas Speedway, where Catalano's company name and logo were in evidence on the rear panel of the No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion, driven by NASCAR star Carl Edwards.

In addition to the speedway promotion, Catalano receives a $10,000 business makeover plus website and logo design.
Businesses that entered the drawing had the opportunity to increase their chances of winning by participating in a "Connect with Carl" promotion asking friends, family and co-workers to support them with a nomination. Catalano garnered nearly 200 entries as a result of that promotion.
Catalano, who is among a growing number of female NASCAR fans, often talks racing with her customers. Women account for approximately 40 percent of NASCAR's fan base.
Catalano started her salon and spa in 2000 with an initial investment of $150,000. Estimated sales for 2007 were $200,000, and she expects that figure to increase this year.
