Award-winning automotive journalist and author Jill Amadio has written on the automotive industry for two decades, covering new vehicle introductions, aftermarket products and motor sports in the U.S. and abroad.
Amadio is a contributing writer for Entrepreneur magazine, with the monthly car column, "Wheels," and has also been published in Automotive Executive, Road and Track, Trailer Life, and Air Classics magazines. As Automotive Editor for Gannett Newspapers she was the first female auto writer to be syndicated by a national newspaper chain. As a freelancer, Amadio wrote for National Speed Sports News.
In Thailand, she wrote about the auto industry for the Bangkok Post; in Spain, for the Spanish-American Courier, and for several other foreign publications.
Amadio worked as a publicist on the Indy car, Funny car, and NASCAR racing circuits on behalf of Skoal Bandit teams, representing Tom Sneva, Benny Parsons, Teo Fabi, Dan Gurney, Harry Gant and A.J. Foyt.
She is a member of the Motor Press Guild, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and The Author's Guild. She is a former president of the Connecticut Press Club, a board member of the Non-Fiction Advisory Committee at California State University, Fullerton, and the author and co-author of several biographies.
